This seven week process will be a potent experience of immersing ourselves in the “medicine" of our lives on all levels ~ from our bodies, ancestors and environments, to our relationships, work, offerings, all the way to our purpose, dreaming practices, clarity, and guidance...

Over a seven week period we will meet once a week on a Wednesday evening, and explore the 'Five Pillars of Medicine' and their personal application in our lives. Each week is dedicated to one of these medicines, these levels of our being, with an Opening and Closing ceremony on either end.

In the Opening week we will explore the 'Cedar Teachings' that share the five universal allocations of medicine across all natural bodies. Each one of these correspond to a Pillar of Medicine, and level of our being.

Looking at what is held in our roots to our sap, literally and metaphorically, we will map these onto ourselves. Mimicking the timeless wisdom of nature we can mirror and harness these principles to cultivate our highest blossoming. The final week will hold a Closing ceremony and integration.

- 31 August: Opening Ceremony and The Cedar Teachings

- 7 Sept: 1st Pillar Medicine ~ exploring our “roots", bones, dreaming. The foundation of our being. - 14 Sept: 2nd Pillar Medicine ~ exploring our “leaves”, where we emerge from underground. How we gain energy, power and express ourselves. - 21 Sept: 3rd Pillar Medicine ~ exploring our “bark”, our containment, protection, inoculation. Our capacity for holding. - 28 Sept: 4th Pillar Medicine ~ exploring our “fruit”, our “flower”, our offering into the world. How we call forth what pollinates us - 5 Oct: 5th Pillar Medicine ~ exploring our “sap”, the life blood that comes from our spirit. Our guidance, our clarity. That which feeds the whole plant. - 12 Oct: Closing and integration ceremony

Held in a beautiful space in Mullum Creek, this seven week intensive is an opportunity to integrate deep medicine into our everyday lives and worlds.

This is likely the last time this will be offered in person in the Byron shire. Usually this runs online, yet an embodied in-person process is all the more powerful as we sit and evolve together as a group.

And all medicine, across all time, fits into these pillars”. The teaching proceeded to stream through, showing her the five modes of medicine, the ancient and current systems that use them, and how we draw on them instinctively in our daily lives. This body of knowledge forms a deep medicinal tool, from personal to cosmic contexts.""

*Lila has been working with medicinal plants and indigenous ways of healing for twenty years, beginning her journey in the Atacama Desert of Peru. She is initiated as 'sangoma', a traditional healer and seer, in the Shona tradition of South Africa. She has spent much time engaging with the natural kingdom in a medicinal capacity, learning the optimal ways to gain the friendship and knowledge of the plants around us. Her academic background is in Anthropology, Linguistics, Philosophy and Transpersonal Psychology, with a Diploma in Integral Coaching. She merges the worlds of mind, spirit and body in her practice by engaging ceremony, movement and music as a way to blossom in our capacities. She now lives in Byron Bay, Australia.
